It's taken us 100,000 years to figure out that we are only as well off as the weakest ones in our tribe, and that connection, community, and respect lead to a world that benefits everyone.

Political futility

President Obama opened the health care can. Republicans can’t seem to find a way to stuff the lid back on.

Earn it

I am amazed that Democrats are committed to the ideal that people who can’t afford health care should get as good care as people who have worked for and prepared to pay for their care.

No accident

God could've chosen anywhere, anytime, anyone for the birth of His Son. I think He chose a manger and humble parents for a reason. Remember, "Inasmuch as you do this unto the least of these ..."

Spoiler plan

If Republicans came up with a health plan that was 100% free, the obstructionist Democrats would be against it, claiming it hurt the poor and helped the rich, and because it was not their idea.

Tradition

How did we get a Russian Party controlling our government? Well, American conservatives have a track record of admiring authoritarians.

Everyone knows that a great tomato sandwich reaches star status with bacon and lettuce, or better yet, fried Oscar Mayer baloney!
