It's a shame the city preservationists weren't as enthused about saving the beautiful old courthouse as they are the current one.

Dysfunctional family of man

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has stated that our European friends can no longer depend on the United States. Donald Trump has damaged if not destroyed friendships with nearly every nation except Saudi Arabia and Russia.

Compromise solution

Why not allow all the illegal immigrants to become resident aliens, not citizens, and no voting rights? Bring them into our tax system. Give them a green card. Stop trying to deport them.

If I don't smile at you, it doesn't necessarily mean I'm committing a microaggression against you. Could be that I assumed you didn't want me to smile at you, since you're not smiling at me.

Criminally irrational

It's unfair to vandalize a South Carolina restaurant that's next door to a Confederate flag, when they know the restaurant owner can't have it removed. Video surveillance should identify and prosecute those criminals.
