Sound Off for September 8, 2017

Low-profile driving

Do you suppose those young drivers who ride with their heads below the windshield may be avoiding the drug dealers’ drive-by shootings?

Selective history

"Southerners used laws and violence to enforce segregation in the ’20s," stated PBS. So what did Northerners use to enforce segregated society? Entire states like New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine allowed virtually zero blacks.

Not convincing, somehow ...

Trump, never seen in a church, declares Sunday a National Day of Prayer. Brings his band of evangelicals to the “deplorables” White House to sign the declaration. Go figure this man.

Perfect platform

How about this, Mr. Roberts, mayoral candidate? Lower the Muscogee County murder rate, consolidate the law enforcement agencies, maintain a balanced budget. Folks not “new to this political stuff" get it. Experienced servants do.

Be more specific

We should keep Confederate monuments because your family has fought in every war since the American Revolution including the treasonous Civil War? Whose side are they on in the war on terror?
