Sound Off for October 7, 2017

Clear as mud

Last week, two Uptown Concert Series articles had opposite info about bringing food and drinks, then Sunday's paper stated: "Outside food and beverages are allowed. Concert Series prohibits all outside food, beverages, and coolers." Huh?

Next to Godliness

How can Trump’s so-called “evangelical Christian” base tolerate his cruelty to our fellow Americans in Puerto Rico?

Home protection

Now liberals want to take my Bump Fire Stocks for my AR15 and my AK. It's against my Second Amendment rights and they help keep the neighbor's dogs out of my yard.

Quite a contrast

The AFLAC building was built before the Government Center. The difference is that AFLAC hired good workers to maintain theirs. So we tear down one that was not maintained to build two more.

Blood money

The greed of our representatives in Washington has prevented sensible gun restrictions. The NRA stuffs them with millions in cash, while Americans die in droves.

Unreliable

All states should stop using electronic voting machines for many reasons, but the most important are their accuracy, their ease of hacking and no "receipt" to take home with you.

If it helps ...

Maybe a burka is not such a bad thing after all, if they can make them bulletproof.
