Sound Off for December 21, 2017

Environmentally responsible

Come on, Columbus, let's see more recycling receptacles out in public around town.

Follow the money

The Democrats can spread lies about the tax reform bill, but when the American worker sees his check is larger in February he/she will know who is telling the truth.

A matter of demographic record

Mayor Tomlinson didn’t “play the race card” about the Alabama senatorial election. She stated facts. Upwards of 30% of the African American community turned out to vote. She’s not the race baiter.

Their ‘cut’ is your cost

This tax bill is predicated on the basic ignorance of the American people. Anyone whose personal income is $75,000 or less will derive no benefits; older citizens’ Medicare will increase in order to fund it.

Biblical principle

Although 80% of taxpayers will benefit from tax reform, some people are angry that some will benefit more than others. Are we not taught in the 10 Commandments that one should not covet?
