The refuge of equivalency

Some say he said it. Others say he didn't say it. Only thing for sure is some are less than honest. No wonder our kids are so confused.

Where’s the downside?

It seems strange that people are upset that “working” people are getting a bonus from their employers and a tax break from the government. No corporation has to pass on their tax breaks to their employees. We should all be glad this is happening.

Historical echoes

The words of Joseph Welch to Senator McCarthy in 1954 resonate today ..."until this moment — I never really gauged your cruelty or your recklessness." Readers can decide who this presently applies to.

From a non-racist fine person:

Lying, racism-stoking Reps. Lewis and Waters will not attend the State of Union. Good riddance! They know Trump's no racist, and neither am I. Signed, a "fine person" opposed to removing Confederate monuments.

Dubious credentials

There are top-level Muscogee County educators with "doctoral" degrees from one of those diploma mill institutions. These people have not earned a Ph.D. or an Ed.D., but an RFD — the "degrees" are delivered by mail.
