In a more perfect world ...

Incarceration serves three functions: punishment, rehabilitation, and protecting the public. I'd be all for de-emphasizing punishment if rehabilitation could be guaranteed, but if it can't, then it's our utmost responsibility to protect the public.

Make the case or drop it

If this new smoking gun FISA memo Republicans are calling "ObamaGate" is truly the "scandal of our lifetime," then let's get it out. Otherwise, I'm getting tired of all this partisan jabbing back and forth.

More media awards

Trump's "Fake News Awards" were hilarious. Let's have Joseph Goebbels or Vladimir Putin awards for the right wing's state-run media. Have Steven Miller, Sean Hannity or Ann Coulter emcee and present miniature "Donalds" to recipients.

Neither cruel nor complicated

"Temporary visa" means you must go home before it expires. "Deferred action" means you must go home, not right now, but fairly soon. You're welcome to apply to return if you cooperated.

Lacking that Trumpian work ethic

There is one thing that always remains the same, Democrats always will take the day off over working.
