Sound Off

Sound Off for Sunday, March 20, 2016

Fit the profile?

Is the Ledger-Enquirer considered part of the "media” trashing Trump and other Republicans? Just asking …

Make the tough calls

Council, we do not need a Pool Authority. There is no accountability. What about the subsidies to the Golf Authority do you not understand? Do your job.

Grandstanding

In a spectacular show of political posturing, Josh McKoon and John Pezold voted yes to allowing concealed weapons in the Schwob School of Music. And the Corn Center for the Visual Arts. Applause. Applause.

Sibling support

Pope Benedict XVI said, “Jews are our brothers.” Isn’t it time we aided our only allies in the Arab world?

Role model

From The Trump, our children are learning that if you have money, you can be as obnoxious as you want to be and still run, with high ratings, for POTUS.

Thumbs up

Love your newspaper format. I don’t need glasses and don’t need a magnifying glass.

Funny about that

Why is it when the daylight savings time advances an hour everyone shows up to work late … but when it changes back an hour, no one is early? Explain that.

New game plan

Trump says if he is not nominated there could be a riot. Never been in a redneck riot — what do we loot, NASCAR memorabilia and C&W CDs?

Grow human capital instead

Improving an unskilled worker’s life by raising the minimum wage is a fallacy perpetuated by union leaders and opportunistic politicians. To really improve workers’ lives, encourage them to learn a marketable skill.
