Sound off for April 23, 2016
Right idea …
I agree with Shelia Williams that schools need to reach out to parents. The only problem is, too often there aren't any parents to reach out to.
Weekend pleasure
I would just like to say how much I enjoy reading Mr. Kendrick-Holmes’ articles each Saturday. Love his humor!
Role modeling
Georgia state Rep. Tom Taylor, one of those “family values” Republicans, was arrested for speeding and DUI with four juveniles in his car and a .45 in his hip holster.
Enough — please
My fellow Americans, when a presidential candidate substitutes 7/11 for 9/11, there's blood in the water. This means you, Donald Trump.
Safe at home
Trump did something neither Cruz nor Kasich did. Trump got 60 percent of his home state Republican voters to vote for him. Neither Cruz nor Kasich could get even 50 percent of theirs.
Get in line
America is going to Hell, but not before Norway, where the rights of that guy who murdered 77 people were "violated" because he has to watch TV, play video games, and exercise in solitary confinement.
Credit is due
Large dead pine tree at curb. Reported to 311 on Friday. Tree gone on Tuesday. Thank you, city of Columbus.
Chronic pain
The Aquatic Center must be a burr in the city’s behind about now.
