Sound Off

Sound Off for April 29, 2016

Exemplary public figure

The two things that impressed me most about Prince were his “show must go on” attitude, particularly his Super Bowl performance during that downpour, and his strong, publicly acknowledged belief in God.

Needs to lighten up

I wonder if the "Curt Schilling speaks out …—" letter writer (04/26/16) is known as "Chuckles" in his circle of family and friends.

Slow news day?

Sad to see Monday's issue of the Ledger was about a damn barbed wire fence as the headline. Really?

Home of the Safe

If citizens carrying guns make a place safer, then America should be at least ten times safer than any other country on earth.

Mission not accomplished

Someone in Sound Off referenced Phenix City’s alleged 1954 "clean-up." The way things are going over there indicate the "clean-up" was not completed.

The stoplight squeeze

Typical Columbus drivers: If they're behind you, they hit the horn the instant the light turns green. If they're out front, the light turns red before the second car can get through.

Trust issue

Ted Cruz looks like somebody I wouldn't want to buy a used car from.
