Sound Off for April 30, 2016

It’s not the docs

Doctors sign for handicap permits; they don't know who drives. Then Grandma's handicapped-designated car may be the most used car by her family. Why not? She hasn't be able to drive for years.

Fact check

Rewriting history — revisionism — has to stop. It's not just about changing facts (that should be reason enough); it's also about not having the ability to measure progress.

Contradiction

Jesus said you cannot serve God and Mammon. I don't see how people can worship guns and God simultaneously. Especially since guns are one of Satan's favorite tools.

Wrong offense

No one gives a (deleted) what Curt Schilling says. He ripped off his investors $100 million and he's not in jail.

It’s the brand

Vivian Creighton Bishop’s print size of her first and middle name on her reelection signs might lead one to believe that we are voting for her husband.

Thought better

"Obama did something nine other presidents couldn't — normalize relations with Cuba." Actually, they could have, but it's a ridiculously foolish decision requiring Congressional cooperation, so they wisely chose not to.

What matters?

Why is it a man can remember every pitch, hit and run scored in the World Series twenty years ago, but cannot remember his wedding anniversary date? Start thinking up your excuses, gentlemen.
