I'm flabbergasted once again to learn the Phenix City Board of Education, which runs on undisclosed self-imposed rules, now is considering a $50,000 bonus and undisclosed raise for Mr. Wilkes. What's next?

Superb choice

I grew up in Crenshaw County, and Superintendent Wilkes is very highly respected there. Phenix City found a treasure when they hired him.

Prime time

The GOP Comedy Hour! Tonight: John Boehner claims that Ted Cruz is "Lucifer in the flesh"! Donald Trump University will be sued for fraud! John Kasich will … Sorry, folks, we're all out of time.

If Cruz claims he never had a conversation with John Boehner, he might be validating Trump's nickname for him.

Bernie Sanders is an independent, masquerading as a candidate running for the Democratic nomination.

It’s the law
