Sound Off for May 26, 2016

For once ...

OK the election is over. Take your signs up.

Subjugated class

Aging white men, losing power, support Trump. When you’re accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression.

Who needs him?

Having Hillary state she needs Bill to be in charge of the economy is an insult to all the successful women out there who did it on their own.

Archaic system

A sheriff’s almost absolute power over the citizens, their money and the government is an anachronism. It will so remain until the Georgia laws are changed.

Safer option

To those who contemplate climbing Mount Everest, I suggest that you spend the money on a grand piano, and learn to play jazz. It is a greater challenge, and it will not kill you.

That’ll show him

Peter King of Sports Illustrated no longer uses "Redskins" to identify the Washington football team because he finds the name offensive. I will now call him "no name" because I find his name offensive.

Should be clear

When we see police dragging Freddie Gray into a van with his legs limp, is it not obvious that his spine was already severed?
