Sound Off for June 5, 2016

Could be worse

I'm so glad we've got some smart, sensible Democrats in Georgia. The Democrats in Louisiana are a bunch of loonies — first they want to destroy historical monuments. Now they're trashing the Declaration of Independence.

There’s still hope

If God had instilled in all of us fairness, compassion and understanding, there wouldn't be all the hate we are witnessing now. But we could change, couldn't we?

Tech problems

CB&T's new telephone banking system is far worse than the system it replaced. Lots of complaints, staffers tell us.

Bravo, CPD

Good job, Columbus Police Department. Sending two more thugs up to prison with all the rest of the punks. Who’s next?

Whatever you think … so does he

Donald Trump flip-flops on every issue. He is for and against everything. He does this knowing that people will believe what they want to hear in either direction. Are you fooled?

Visited wrong WWII site

President Obama’s visit to the Hiroshima Memorial was yet another step along the path of his view of the “moral universe.” He should have acknowledged those who walked the path at Bataan instead.

A thinner, grayer comb-over

Imagine what the United States of America's hair will look like after four years of Donald Trump. Not enough hair dye available...

Path of destruction?

If the National Weather Service had any sense of humor at all, then the next tropical storm following Bonnie would be named Clyde.

One might soon be available

Would anyone even consider buying a used car from Mike Hubbard?
