Sound Off for June 15, 2016

Loss to community

Owen Ditchfield contributed so much to the community. He served on the Library Board and, together with his wife Mabel, on Friends of Libraries book sales. What a couple. He will be missed indeed.

Notable difference

While Trump, Clinton, and Sanders responded quickly to the Orlando tragedy, the only one I saw offering prayers for victims and families was Trump. Clinton and Sanders turned it into a gun control political statement.

Got what they paid for

I see the DNC server was hacked by the Russians. They should have never bought Hillary's old computer.

Political echo chamber

News flash! The Donald has his own personal cheering squad. It's called Fox News Channel.

Another bailout?

I'm tired of hearing deadbeats complain about paying college loans. They probably thought we taxpayers would eventually be forced to forgive them when they borrowed it, and if Democrats get their way, that may happen.

Sociopolitical double standard

Hip-hop singers get rich singing about abusing and degrading women. But a 20-year-old female drummer writes a letter supporting a friend convicted of sexual assault and everyone wants to blacklist her band.
