Sound Off for June 21, 2016
Nothing to lose
Journalists and the public had mutually agreed that calling someone "Hitler" was ridiculous and completely discredits the accuser. That didn't apply to Leonard Pitts because he had no credibility before he compared Trump to Hitler.
Disinvestment
Rates are so low now that many real bond yields are negative. That means we get less out than we put in. Cash became so valuable during the Great Recession that now it’s worthless.
Self-promotion
Robert Koehler can try his convoluted best to deny that Orlando was simply another Muslim terrorist attack, but that's what it was. Looks like his main motive was to quote his 4-year-old book he's pushing.
Low disturbance threshold
A stupid man was disturbed by two men kissing and killed innocent people, disturbing every sane person on earth. Other people are disturbed by two Muslim men in nightgowns holding hands on the street.
Be assured. Or afraid.
When Trump becomes president he will surround himself with people who know how to get his agenda done. Like Newt Gingrich.
Reaching out vs. walling in
To the writer who thinks building walls is better for America than going to the moon, you do know that we have a God of peace ... not a God of walls?
