Sound Off for June 23, 2016

Our loss

Sad to read this morning that Columbus is losing our great Parks and Recreation Director James Worsley. Worsley shined in our dreadfully run department, turning it completely around in five years. He was laughingly underpaid.

The former requires the latter

Was it terrorism or was it hate? When is terrorism not hate?

The insidious threat

TextIt seems reasonable to ban guns from someone on a terrorist watch list until you realize the government could arbitrarily put anyone on that list … you and me … then no guns for us.

Anatomically ambiguous

What kind of injury does a “gunshot wound near the basketball courts” cause? It that anywhere near the spleen?

Facing facts

Denying that a radical interpretation of Islam has anything to do with the terrorism and genocide taking place in today's world is like denying that the Nazi Party had anything to do with the Holocaust.

No hero of mine

Pardon me if I don’t shed tears for Muhammad Ali. Thousands of guys were shipped to Vietnam and lost their lives. Ali got to live in this country with no sacrifice.
