‘Expert’ analytics
As a proud American who uses statistics professionally, I am pleased when pollster/pundit political predictions are proven wrong. The methods used are often nonscientific and poorly understood by average voters.
Moral progress
I believe that sometime in the future, perhaps 100 years from now, people will look upon the practice of abortion with the same shock and disbelief as they now look upon the practice of slavery.
Propaganda notwithstanding
Social Security’s board of trustees just reported a surplus of $2.8 trillion, with less than a penny on the dollar spent on administrative expenses. Why are Republicans trying to destroy it?
‘Bankruptcy’ definition fluid this year
News for those not paying attention: A country that is $19 trillion in debt is bankrupt in everything but name.
Objectivity not a dependable virtue

Bluff and bluster in a bunker
Trump is a little man who fears scrutiny, hiding behind his comb-over.
