Sound Off for August 14, 2016

Trump, truth ... same thing

To all the liberal naysayers, as well as the RINOs, I submit a phrase once uttered by a Jack Nicholson character: "You can't handle the truth!"

Don’t buy either one

A bridge in Brooklyn is for sale to anyone who bought that proposed tax measure will not result in much higher and uncertain taxes for all present and future homeowners.

In no hurry

It is curious to note that Donald Trump has not complained about the tardy resolution of his tax audit by the IRS.

Think Jodie Foster’s happy?

I see that Hinckley has all of sudden become normal and will be released. He was placed in a mental institution but he knew exactly what he was doing.

Personal ambition, not public interest

It seems to me that Hillary Clinton only wants the presidency for herself. She does not care about the country.

Another letdown

The media promised us that Obama was the Messiah and now promises us that Hillary is Mother Mary.

Valued resource

Look forward to getting the Ledger every day — news about the school board, courts, city government, the ads and coupons as well as human interest stories. Keep up the good work.

Think it through

Zika virus is now in Alabama and Georgia. You want a travel ban on yourself, moron?

Is there no end to it?

What criteria does the city council use to determine that these attorneys' fees meet the requirements of the statute? Is there no appeal or equitable relief available? Who represents the taxpayers' interests in court?
