GSWA releases Week 5 high school football polls

The latest Georgia Sports Writers Association high school football polls saw one local team move up in the rankings and another reappear.

The Manchester Blue Devils continue their trek up the polls, moving up to No. 3 in Class A this week. The Blue Devils began 2017 as the eighth-ranked team and have gained five spots over the course of a 3-0 start.

The Northside Patriots, meanwhile, received one point from the voters this week. The Patriots received two points in the preseason poll and are now the only other local team besides Manchester to receive votes.
