Robinson, Davis lead Northern 10-11 all-stars into championship game

GREENVILLE, N.C. -- Avery Robinson pitched a complete-game two-hitter and Dell Davis hit a homer as the Northern Little League 10-11 All-Stars beat South Carolina 1-0 on Tuesday in the semifinals of the Tournament of State Champions.

Robinson struck out seven batters and walked only one in his six innings.

Davis hit his homer in the bottom of the third with one out.

Northern, which is undefeated in the tournament at 4-0, finished with seven hits.

Trey Sanders went 3-for-3.

Northern will play Virginia in the championship game at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. Northern beat Virginia 9-7 in pool play on Monday.
