Major League veteran, Gold Glove winner to join Columbus Clingstones. How to watch

A five-year Major League Baseball veteran who won a Gold Glove award will be joining the Columbus Clingstones for this week’s upcoming homestand, according to a news release from the Clingstones.

Ha-Seong Kim, 30, will join the Atlanta Braves Class AA affiliate for the six-game homestand that starts at 6:05 p.m. April 29 against the Montgomery Biscuits.

Kim, a native of Bucheon, South Korea, has experience at shor stop, second base and third base, according to the news release. Kim joins the Clingstones as part of a MLB rehab assignment.

The Clingstones said Kim has a career .242 batting average, 52 home runs and 217 RBIs across 588 MLB games.

Kim won a Gold Glove award following the 2023 season, according to the news release. The Gold Glove has been given out since 1957 to the best defenders at each position in each league, according to mlb.com.

Since 2021, Kim has played for three major league teams: San Diego Padres, Tampa Bay Rays and Atlanta Braves.

The Braves placed Kim on the 10-day injured list March 25 for a right middle finger laceration, according to mlb.com.
