Dodgers Manager Delivers Good News on Max Muncy
Los Angeles Dodgersthird baseman Max Muncy was hit by a pitch Friday during the team's series against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Muncy left the Dodgers' 5-1 loss early because of the eighth inning incident in which he sustained a wrist injury.

The initial X-ray on Muncy's wrist was negative, with the third baseman saying "it hurts, it's not broken, all good."
The Dodgers had the opportunity to place Muncy on the injured list when the team reinstated utility man Kiké Hernandez Monday. However, the Dodgers chose to designate Santiago Espinal for assignment instead.
That was already a good sign for LA, but manager Dave Roberts delivered another sliver of good news Tuesday.
Roberts said Muncy could be back in the lineup as soon as Wednesday, barring any setbacks. The veteran was seen taking batting practice ahead of the Dodgers' matchup with the Colorado Rockies Tuesday.

On the season, Muncy is hitting .258 with 12 home runs, 19 runs batted in and an OPS of .878. The veteran has been one of the Dodgers' most productive hitters throughout his tenure with LA and continues to be this year.
The back-to-back World Series champions are 10-2 in their last 12 games, an encouraging sight for a team that has shown somewhat of an uneven performance in 2026.
The Dodgers lineup has gone through its fair share of struggles early this year, but the talent alone is simply too good for LA to remain stagnant down the stretch.
Losing Muncy would be a huge shift in momentum for the Dodgers offense, but it appears the third baseman could be back soon.
