Is Timothée Chalamet the New King of Knicks Fans? Ranking the Top 5

Who is the king (or queen) of New York?

Right now, it’s Jalen Brunson, but which celebrity deserves the crown as the most diehard New York Knicks fan as we head into the NBA Finals?

We’re about to see a slew of celebrities try to steal valor from the true fans who’ve been cheering on the Knicks even when you couldn’t give away tickets to Madison Square Garden.

As we approach the finals, here is my current top five ranking.

1. Spike Lee

Sorry, Timothee Chalamet, Spike Lee is still the No. 1 Knicks superfan. He has barely missed a game over the past 40 years, and regardless of whether they were getting blown out by 60 in their dark days or at their peak now, he will always be there in some sort of colorful outfit supporting his team.

2. Timothee Chalamet

I will give Chalamet second place, however, as the new face of Knicks celebrity superfan has gone to the “Dune” actor. No one can question Chalamet’s love for the Knicks, as he went from a young kid hustling to get into the building and showing up to fan meets when the team was at its lowest point.

Also, shout out to Kylie Jenner, who went to Cleveland along with Chalamet for the sweep of the Cavaliers.

3. Ben Stiller

Stiller is still getting flak for missing the opening of the Philadelphia 76ers series to attend the Met Gala, but we’ll give him a pass since he said that it would have inconvenienced a friend to skip it.

4. Tracy Morgan

Along with Chalamet, comedian Morgan was one of the most filmed celebrities in Cleveland over the last few days as the Knicks wrapped up their first Finals appearance in 27 years. He was shedding tears after the near 40-point blowout of the Cavs to clinch the East.

5. Anne Hathaway

Hathaway is a true sports superfan, as she’s been in the news more recently for her love of Arsenal and the English club’s first domestic league championship in 22 years. But from New York and a diehard Knicks fan, she has a chance to have the best two-month stretch ever if the Knicks can follow up the Arsenal victory with their first championship since 1973.
