Thunder Fans Accused Of Disrupting Spurs At Hotel Before Game 7
Are OKC fans trying to play some mind games with the San Antonio Spurs ahead of Game 7 tonight? Devin Vassell certainly seems to think so.
Speaking to reporters ahead of tonight's game, the Spurs shooting guard complained that he was hearing loud music outside of his hotel room last night. He accused some Thunder fans of "trying to keep us up" and that the music kept him from getting a proper night's sleep.
"I was tossing and turning a little bit I know they're going to be playing music out there at that park trying to keep us up, so I was trying to get as much sleep as possible," Vassell said.
Concern or Complaining?
Some NBA fans believe that Vassell is just trying to come up with excuses in case the Spurs lose in Oklahoma City tonight.
"The Spurs are the whiniest team man. Series ain't even over but they always gotta come up with something," one user on X remarked.
"Already complaining," wrote another.
"and they still gon blame the refs when they lose," a third wrote.
It's been a wild series between the two Western Conference finalists. San Antonio won Game 1 in OKC then lost the next two. They took Game 4 only to drop Game 5 and fall one loss away from elimination. But after decisively winning Game 6 at home, the Spurs were able to force Game 7.
Whoever wins gets to host the New York Knicks in the NBA Finals on Wednesday.
May the best team win.
