Georgia Tech announces September game times
The Georgia Tech football team's home game against Tennessee on Sept. 12 was announced for a 7 p.m. kickoff on ESPN.
It will be the 45th time the Yellow Jackets and Volunteers have met, but only the second time the two will meet in the past 39 seasons.
Georgia Tech will play in-state foe Mercer the following week on Sept. 19, with kickoff set for noon on the ACC Network.
The Yellow Jackets and Bears will meet for only the second time since Mercer resumed football in 2013, with the last matchup in 2016.
Georgia Tech's first road game and Atlantic Coast Conference conference game of the season will come Sept. 26 at Stanford. Kickoff is set for 10:30 p.m. on ESPN.
It will be the first regular-season game between the Yellow Jackets and Cardinal, whose only previous matchups came in the 1991 Aloha Bowl and 2001 Seattle Bowl.
The season opener against Colorado on Sept. 3 at Bobby Dodd Stadium was previously announced as an 8 p.m. kickoff on ESPN.
