CVCC lets big lead, game slip away against Shelton State

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Chattahoochee Valley Community College built a 16-point lead by halftime, but the Pirates couldn't hang on and lost 85-79 to Shelton State on Wednesday night.

Shelton State outscored the Pirates 35-14 in the first 10 minutes of the second half to take a 65-40 lead. CVCC rallied to tie the game at 75-75, but Shelton State scored the next nine points.

Kameron Mack led the Pirates with 16 points.
