CVCC baseball team starts season at 0-4

PANAMA CITY, Fla. -- The Chattahoochee Valley Community College baseball team went 0-4 in their opening weekend of games.

The Pirates, who were ranked fifth in the NJCAA poll in the preseason, lost to Tallahassee Community College 8-5 on Friday. JD Brown suffered the loss.

Jaylen Smith hit a homer for CVCC.

The Pirates then lost 4-1 to host Gulf Coast State. Jordan Lee took the loss.

On Saturday, the Pirates lost 8-3 to Gulf Coast as Garrett Deloney took the loss.

The final game was a 5-0 loss to Tallahassee. Logan Haner suffered the loss.
