Former Hardaway High running back Justin Crawford signed with West Virginia on Wednesday.

Crawford played the past two seasons at Northwest Mississippi Community College.

He led the team to the National Junior College national championship last season. It was the school's first since 1992.

Crawford was named the NJCAA Offensive Player of the Year for this past season as he rushed for 1,610 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also had 29 catches for 394 yards and six touchdowns.

In his two years at Northwest Mississippi, Crawford rushed for 3,161 yards and 30 touchdowns.

Crawford also visited Missouri. He had planned to visit South Carolina, but the Gamecocks pulled their offer to him. Crawford talks with Georgia running backs coach Dell McGee, the former Carver High coach, but the Bulldogs never offered Crawford.

Crawford was the No. 3 JUCO running back in the nation, according to 247sports.com.
