Former Cleveland State (Tenn.) men's basketball coach Dan Trotter will be inducted into the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association Hall of Fame on Feb. 20.
Trotter, who is currently a member of the Harris County school board, coached Cleveland State from 1984-87 and finished with a record of 58-24.
He coached his first team to the Tennessee Junior College Athletic Association Eastern Division championship with an 18-9 record.
The following season he led Cleveland State into the national rankings for the first time. The team finished 18-8. His last season ended with a 22-7 record.
He was inducted into the Cleveland State Hall of Fame last year.
After he left Cleveland State, he worked in the Carrollton (Ga.) City School system from 1987-96. He was an elementary principal in Harris County from 1996-2008.
Prior to his stint at Cleveland State, he coached eight seasons at Martin Methodist College, all ending with winning records. With 147 career wins at Martin, he was inducted into that school's hall of fame as well.
