Chattahoochee Valley, Southern Union suspended by darkness
The Chattahoochee Valley-Southern Union game will have to wait until another day for a winner to be decided.
Wednesday afternoon's game was suspended by darkness at Howard Lake Field after the teams played through 12 innings with the score tied at 4-4. There was no immediate announcement of when the game would be resumed. CVCC plays at Southern Union on April 12.
Christian Vann pitched the final 3 1-3 innings for CVCC. He did not allow a run.
Jaylyn Smith went 2-for-6 with a double and an RBI. Brandon Hill went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Will Campbell went 2-for-4.
CVCC (1-4) will host Point in a doubleheader on Thursday at 1 p.m. The twinbill was originally scheduled for Feb. 4 but was rained out.
