Rookard, Ware, Campbell lead CVCC to 16-4 win over Thomas JV

THOMASVILLE, Ga. -- MJ Rookard, Frank Ware and Will Campbell homered Thursday to lead Chattahoochee Valley Community College to a 16-4 win over the Thomas University junior varsity.

The Pirates struck for nine runs in the top of the second inning and cruised to the win.

Caleb Lynn was 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs. Campbell was 4-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Rookard was 1-for-2 with an RBI. Ware was 1-for-1 with an RBI.

Garrett Deloney picked up the win for CVCC.

The Pirates begin a three-game weekend series today at 4 p.m. at Tallahassee (Fla.) Community College.
