Tallahassee Community College defeats CVCC 3-1

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Tallahassee Community College broke a 1-1 tie with two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning Friday to defeat Chattahoochee Valley Community College 3-1 in the opening game of a weekend series.

MJ Rookard went 2-for-4 with a double and drove in a run for the Pirates. Jalen Smith went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Jelani Clarington (2-1) took the loss in relief.

CVCC and Tallahassee Community College meet today at 1 p.m. and Sunday at noon.
