Christian Vann wins twice as CVCC sweeps Southern Union

Chattahoochee Valley won a pair of games against Southern Union on Tuesday afternoon.

The Pirates beat Southern Union 5-4 in 14 innings in the completion of a game suspended after 13 innings on Feb. 10. In the regularly scheduled game, the Pirates won 9-4.

Christian Vann (4-3) picked up the win in both games.

In the suspended game, he pitched just one inning. In the second game, he pitched a complete nine innings, striking out 10.

AJ Willoughby drove in three runs. JT Thomas knocked in two. Carson Hughes had a pair of hits.

CVCC (31-9-1) will play at Central Alabama at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
