CVCC baseball wins fourth straight
Chattahoochee Valley Community College built a 6-1 lead and held on for a 6-4 win over Central Alabama on Wednesday afternoon.
Chase Burks (8-0) earned the win. He allowed one run on two hits in six innings. Trent Simpson picked up his second save as he pitched the ninth inning.
Carson Hughes led the Pirates at the plate with three doubles and a pair of runs driven in. JT Thomas drove in three runs.
CVCC (32-9) will play at Shelton State at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
