Jason Fober and Cason Hammock return to defend Georgia Four-Ball title

Columbus’ Jason Fober and Cason Hammock will tee off today in an attempt to defend their Georgia Four-Ball Championship.

The tournament is being hosted by Glen Arven Country Club in Thomasville.

Last year’s victory was Fober and Hammock’s second Four-Ball title. They won by two strokes over another Columbus duo — Adam Cooper and Bubba Gallops — at The Standard Club in Johns Creek.

Fober and Hammock’s first win came in 2011 at Green Island Country Club.

Cooper and Gallops are in the field as are Carter Mize and Wright Waddell, who have won this event four times (1991, 1995, 2003, 2004).

Other Columbus teams include Jason Burdette and Kevin Padgett, Jeremy Sanders and Michael Ray and Bobby Brent III and Jared Garrity.

The three-round tournament continues through Sunday.
