Adam Cooper and Bubba Gallops tied for third in Georgia Four-Ball
Columbus’ Adam Cooper and Bubba Gallops are tied for third after the first round of the Georgia Four-Ball Championship.
The duo shot a 6-under 66 on Friday at Glen Arven Country Club. Cooper and Gallops finished as the runners-up last year.
They are tied with four other teams. Billy Mitchell and Roswell and Chris Waters of Atlanta lead with a 63.
Columbus’ Jason Fober and Cason Hammock, who are the defending champions, shot an even-par 72 and are tied for 29th. Columbus’ Jason Burdette and Kevin Padgett also shot a 72.
Carter Mize and Wright Waddell, who have won this event four times (1991, 1995, 2003, 2004), are tied for 21st after shooting a 2-under 70.
Columbus’ Bobby Brent III and Jared Garrity are tied for 25th at 71. Jeremy Sanders and Michael Ray are 48th at 76.
The three-round tournament continues through Sunday.
