Columbus’ Cooper and Gallops remain in third at Georgia Four-Ball
Columbus’ Adam Cooper and Bubba Gallops remained in third place on Saturday in the Georgia Four-Ball Championship at Glen Arven Country Club.
The duo shot a 9-under 63 on Saturday for a two-day total of 15-under 129. Cooper and Gallops finished as the runners-up last year.
Billy Mitchell and Roswell and Chris Waters of Atlanta continue to lead after a second-straight 63 put them at 126.
Five of the six teams from Columbus made the cut, which came at 3-over 147.
Columbus’ Bobby Brent III and Jared Garrity moved up 11 spots to a tie for 14th after a 65 put them at 136.
Columbus’ Jason Fober and Cason Hammock, who are the defending champions, shot a 67 and are tied for 21st at 139.
Carter Mize and Wright Waddell, who have won this event four times (1991, 1995, 2003, 2004), are tied for 25th after a 71 put them at 141.
Jeremy Sanders and Michael Ray are tied fro 39th after a 71 put them at 147.
Columbus’ Jason Burdette and Kevin Padgett didn’t make the cut, but the GSGA didn’t report their score.
The three-round tournament continues through Sunday.
