ACCC’s championship game postponed to noon Wednesday
The Chattahoochee Valley baseball team will have to wait another day to try and win its third straight ACCC tournament championship.
Rain forced a postponement of the Pirates’ game against Calhoun, which was scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The teams are now scheduled to play at noon Wednesday. If Calhoun wins, the teams will play a second game immediately following.
Calhoun advanced to the game with a 9-7 win over Wallace State-Dothan earlier on Tuesday.
After winning its tournament opener 2-1 over Faulkner State, CVCC has won a pair of games by the mercy rule, 14-0 over Marion Military and 11-0 over Wallace State-Dothan.
The winner of the ACCC title will earn a berth in the JUCO world series.
