Former Pacelli star Michael O’Neal makes debut with Mississippi Braves
Former Pacelli standout Michael O’Neal made his first start with the Double-A Mississippi Braves on Monday night.
O’Neal (CVCC and Auburn) pitched four innings and allowed just one hit and two walks. He also had one strikeout against the Mobile Bay Bears.
Mississippi went on to win the game 4-3.
O’Neal was called up from Advanced-A Carolina to replace Brandon Barker, who was traded to Baltimore earlier on Monday.
The left-hander has pitched in six games with Carolina, all in relief. He was 0-0 with a 4.00 ERA.
