Jonathan Parker tied for fourth at Southeastern Junior, advances to match play

Jonathan Parker, a rising sophomore at Columbus High, finished tied for fourth place after the opening two rounds of the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour Match Play tournament at Grand National.

His play earned him the right to complete in Match Play beginning Wednesday.

Parker shot a 70 on Monday and a 73 on Tuesday for a two-round total of 1-under par 143.

Davis Thompson of Auburn, Ala., led all player with identical rounds of 66 for a 12-under par total of 132.
