Little League roundup: Northern 10-11 all-stars win state title
The Northern Little League 10-11 baseball all-stars won the state championship Thursday night with a 13-8 win over Dudley.
Colton Masse hit a grand slam.
Bradford Bush hit two homers and drove in four runs.
Ryan Grantham hit a homer and drove in two runs.
Mason Schoonover, Joey Walter and Cole Thompson also drove in runs.
Andrew Wells was the winning pitcher. Masse earned the save.
Northern advances to the Tournament of State Champions in Greenville, N.C., on July 29.
Northern 9-10 baseball wins elimination game
The Northern Little League 9-10 baseball all-stars won another elimination game Thursday night in the state tournament.
Northern beat Oconee County 10-2.
Walker Hilton hit a homer and drove in three runs.
Jackson Boatner, Ethan Moss, Akhil Gutta and Brantley French also knocked in runs.
Carson Ward picked up the win.
Northern was scheduled to play Cartersville on Friday night.
