Parker Derby qualifies for U.S. Amateur
Parker Derby (Brookstone) qualified Thursday for the 116th U.S. Amateur to be held Aug. 15-21 at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
The final round of the qualifier included 32 players competing for three spots and two alternates. The event was conducted by the South Carolina Golf Association on behalf of the United States Golf Association.
Also qualifying were Taylor Funk of Ponte Vedra, Fla., and Brad Curren of Hammond Plains, Nova Scotia. Greyson Sigg is the first alternate and Fitz Woodrow is the second alternate.
A total of 66 players participated in the qualifier at Oldfield Golf Club.
