Northern Little League opens Tournament of State Champions with win

Bradford Bush hit a homer and Mason Schoonover hit a two-run double as the Northern Little League 10-11 all-stars beat Virginia 6-3 in the opening round of the Tournament of State Champions.

Bush finished 2-for-4 with three runs scored. Keaton Ernest also had a run-scoring double.

Colton Masse had a hit and an RBI. Ryan Grantham and Ryan Van Dinter also had hits.

Dylan Presley picked up the win.

Northern will play North Carolina at 6 p.m. Sunday in the second round of pool play.
