ATLANTA -- Georgia Tech bounced back to even its series against Virginia on Saturday, taking an 11-4 victory at home.
The Yellow Jackets (23-12, 8-9 ACC) wasted no time getting into a rhythm offensively, scoring five runs in the first inning and never looking back. Matthew Gorst (3-2) picked up the win after throwing four innings of relief. With the loss, the Cavaliers fell to 21-13 overall and 7-10 in conference play this season.
The third and final game of the series begins Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
