Columbus State cross country teams finish strong at Bobcat Invitational

Columbus State’s cross country teams finished in the top five Saturday at the Bobcat Invitational.

The men registered 89 points and finished third. Augusta and Georgia College finished one and two.

The women finished fifth with 173 points. North Georgia won the title.

Individually, Austin Kidd led the men at 26:44 (10th). David Calhoun was 13th at 27:02, Austin Stewart was 20th at 28:05, Noah Hollis was 22nd at 28:09 and Noah Churchwell was 24th at 28:11.

For the women, Linette Cepeda led the way with a time of 25:06 (21st). Amber Braswell was 23rd at 25:11, Tatiana Forest was 41st at 26:18, Jastonie Hill was 55th at 27:02 and Jessica Young was 57th at 27:05.

Columbus State returns to action Sept. 24, hosting on home meet at Fort Benning.
