Columbus State women’s golf team moves up two place in final round

The Columbus State women’s golf team moved up two places and finished seventh in the Sand Shark Shootout on Tuesday at Innisbrook, Fla.

The Lady Cougars shot a 336 on Tuesday to finish the two-round event at 91-over-par 667.

SCAD won the event at 18-over 612.

Anna Meleshkina led CSU by finishing tied for 22nd at 17-over 161. She shot a 83 on Tuesday.

CSU’s other players were Jordan Booker (71-165, tie-28th), Courtney Lowery (86-172, 41st), Bailey Hockgertle (92-175, t-44th) and Shelby Banta (86-176, t-47th).

CSU will play in the LeeAnn Nobel Memorial at Dahlonega, Ga., on Oct. 17-18.
