Columbus State’s Ashley Asouzu receives Peach Belt Conference honor
The Peach Belt Conference named Columbus State’s Ashley Asouzu to its Preseason All-PBC team on Tuesday.
The five-player team was picked by the league’s head coaches.
Asouzu averaged 10.3 points and 9.5 rebounds a game last season. She finished with six double-doubles.
The other players were Lander’s Breshay Johnson and Ty’Hesha Reynolds, North Georgia’s Kelsey Hutchins and Augusta’s Breonna O’Conner.
CSU plays an exhibition game on Nov. 12 against Agnes Scott at 2 p.m. at the Lumpkin Center. The regular-season opener is on Nov. 18 in Fort Valley, Ga., against Albany State.
