Jarrell, Corcione lead CSU to win over Georgia College

The Columbus State soccer team pushed its shutout streak to nine matches in a regular season-ending 8-0 win over Georgia College on Saturday at the Walden Soccer Complex.

The Lady Cougars also won the fourth straight Peach Belt Conference regular season championship.

No. 5 CSU (15-2-0, 11-1 PBC) tied the school record with the shutout. The feat was first accomplished in 2008.

Olivia Jarrell scored three goals and Nicole Corcione had two in the match. Taylor Marks, Angelica Tabares and Delaney Borror each had a goal in the victory.

CSU will host a quarterfinal match Wednesday the PBC tournament.
