CSU's Helton earns honor

Columbus State cross-country runner Stewart Helton was named to the U.S. Track and Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association All-Academic team for 2007.

Students can qualify by having completed 24 semester hours or 36 quarter hors with a grade point average of 3.25 or better. The student must also finish in the top 30 percent at the regional cross country championships.

Helton, a sophomore biology major, has a 3.92 GPA. He came in 24th as CSU's top runner at the NCAA regionals.
